The Importance of Brand Strategy
Brand Strategy. Have you heard of it?
It is essentially a conversation between client and designer where we dig deep into the business and uncover all potential! Brand Strategy can solve big issues that your business may be facing. With conducting market research and discovering your ideal audience, you learn how they think and make desicions, which in turn gives you insight in how you should be marketing to them!
There are three main categories that I take my clients through during a strategy session: Brand Purpose, Brand Positioning, and Brand Persona.
In Brand Purpose, we craft your Mission Statement, which is a simple statement declaring what you do and why you do it. It’s important that you have one and share it, because it helps resonate with your clients! Any way you can be relatable and more personable is essential for making those connections. During this section, we also talk about the vision and big, dreamy goals that you have for your business, as well as the values that you hold near and dear to your heart and want your brand to portray.
During Brand Positioning is when we hone in on your target audience and create your ideal customer. We discuss competitors in your industry and do the market research to figure out what you offer that no one else does and how you can present yourself as better than your competition.
Lastly, we give your brand a personality! We create a specific voice for your brand to stay consistent, along with messaging, when talking to your clients across all platforms. We also talk all things - design - during this section.
When designing an identity for your brand, we go over all styles, font options and pairings, color schemes and overall aesthetics to make sure the face of your brand is truly representative of you and your business.
